Easy Summer Dessert
It’s peach season and believe me when I tell you we have been taking full advantage of it. We have been making peach breads, peach salads, this amazing air fryer peach cobbler recipe and of, course these grilled peaches in the air fryer.
Eating juicy peaches on their own is divine, but when you make them in the air fryer, they are taken to a whole new level. Air frying them enhances their flavor and brings out their natural sweetness.
Making grilled peaches on a grill is great, but sometimes the weather isn’t so accommodating down here in the south, especially during the summer. That’s when the air fryer works wonders.
Air Fryer Peaches with Cinnamon
If you didn’t know you could make grilled fruit in the air fryer, now you do! It’s a great way to make delicious air fryer peaches and other peach desserts.
If you are wanting to use these grilled peaches in a more savory dishes like in a salad, pizza, tartines, flatbread, or even added to sandwiches, just make them without the honey or cinnamon (more direction below).
Read on to learn how to make peaches in the air fryer and check out a way to make this recipe keto friendly. And if you don’t have an air fryer, check out this baked peach cobbler.
Best kind of Peaches to Use?
For this air fryer recipe, we use ripe peaches that are firm, but slightly soft to the touch. I like to use yellow peaches, but white peaches would be great here, also. They are a little sweeter than the yellow variety.
When cooking with sweet peaches, I prefer using freestone peaches because the pit easily pulls away from the peach flesh. If you get clingstone peaches, the pit of the peach “clings” to the fruit making it more difficult to remove it.
PRO TIP! If you don’t like peaches or it’s not peach season, this fruit dessert can be made with a couple other stone fruits such as plums or nectarines.
Do my Peaches need to be Ripe?
When cooking up peaches in my air fryer, I like them to be perfectly ripe, but not overly soft. If your peaches are a tiny bit hard, that is ok because they will soften up with cooking, you just don’t want them to be too hard or rock hard.
On the other hand, mushy or over ripe peaches will not work here because you need them to be able to hold up to the heat. These peaches will fall apart in the cooking process.
Usually when you get peaches from the farmers market or the grocery store, they are usually hard and unripe. That is why I like to plan in advance and buy peaches a few days before I want to use them in this air fryer grilled peach recipe.
PRO TIP! If your peaches are hard, I recommend putting them into a brown paper bag for a couple days to soften before using.
What do Air Fried Peaches Taste Like?
These sweet peaches taste buttery and cinnamon-y, like an enhanced version of a peach. The peaches release extra sugar when they are cooked, plus they get some extra sweetness added in from the honey.
What to Serve with Air Fryer Peaches?
If you are going to be enjoying this perfect summer treat, here are some ways we like to eat this easy dessert. Top the peach halves with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, an extra drizzle of honey, broken up graham crackers, granola, or even some toasted nuts.
They would be so yum on some waffles or pancakes.
While it makes an absolutely delicious dessert, if you make it without sweetener, you can enjoy it with less sugary foods such as on pizza, in a sandwich, or on top of a salad.
You can even use peach halves as a side dish alongside chicken or pork.
Is this Air Fryer Peach Recipe Keto?
As written, this air fryer peaches recipe is not exactly keto friendly. Peaches have their place in a healthy ketogenic diet if they are eaten in moderation. One half of a medium peach contains around 7.4 grams of carbohydrates. So, this is how to make air fryer peaches keto.
How to Make Air Fryer Peaches Keto
Swap out the honey for a keto brown sugar and mix it with real butter and the cinnamon. Serve keto peaches with a little unsweetened full fat greek yogurt or keto whipped cream.
Are Air Fryer Peaches Gluten Free?
Yes, this recipe is gluten free. Cinnamon, honey and butter are naturally free of gluten. So feel free to make this for anyone who has a gluten intolerance or Celiacs disease.
Do Peaches Need to be Peeled?
It is actually better to keep the peel on the peaches when you air fry them. This will ensure that they stay intact while cooking. If you typically don’t like the peach peel, I recommend just eating all the fruit out of the peel.

- Honey: Adds a little sweetness without going overboard.
