What are Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes?

Want to know the easiest and quickest way to make a whole sweet potato?? You cook it in our favorite kitchen appliance, the air fryer!

Making sweet potatoes in an air fryer is a simple alternative to baking them in the oven. They end up with a crispy skin and smooth creamy centers. Plus you don’t end up heating up the entire house which is perfect for hot summers. Or use them in all of your holiday dishes when you are limited on oven space.

They can be used to make healthy mashed sweet potatoes, made with a secret ingredient, or cut them up instead to make air fryer sweet potato cubes.

Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes Ingredients

  • Sweet Potatoes: My basket style air fryer holds about four small sweet potatoes. If you are using large sweet potatoes, you may only be able to fit 2-3 potatoes.
  • Oil: Just a tiny bit of oil is used so that the skins do not burn.
  • Butter: If eating the sweet potato whole and not using it in another recipe, butter is a great option to put on a sweet potato after it’s baked.
  • Seasonings: Any seasoning you add is optional, depending on what you are using the sweet potatoes for. Some good seasoning for sweet potatoes are cinnamon, brown sugar, cumin, paprika, rosemary, or garlic.
