- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa unsweetened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter soft or melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips optional
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line an 8x8-inch pan with a parchment sling or grease with butter. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, salt, butter, and eggs. Once mixed, stir in most of the chocolate chips.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the top with the rest of the chocolate chips.
Bake for 25-28 minutes, until the brownies slightly pull from the edge of the pan and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just some moist crumbs. Allow them to cool for 30 minutes before cutting.
- Mix in 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the brownie batter.
- Add in other flavors of chips like white chocolate chips or special dark chocolate.
- Use 1/4 cup of oil instead of butter.
- Let the brownies cool and put in an airtight container. They should last about 3-4 days at room temperature.
