This no-fuss Air Fryer Omelet recipe makes breakfast on those busy mornings a breeze! Each one has a light, fluffy texture, and can be customized with all of your favorite fresh veggies, breakfast meats, and cheeses. Ready in just 8-10 minutes, it's truly the perfect easy breakfast option!

Ingredients

  • 1-2 teaspoons butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh herbs basil, thyme, cilantro - chopped plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Butter a 6-inch non-stick baking dish or cake pan. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, add eggs and cream. Whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds until eggs are frothy.
  • Stir in the salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Pour egg mixture into the buttered baking dish.
  • Carefully place the pan into the air fryer. Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add the cheese (or other cooked toppings) and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the air fryer and flip the omelet onto a plate. Fold the omelet in half and add a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Choose the right baking pan: Make sure that your baking dish is the right size. If you use a small pan, your omelet may not cook evenly or all the way through. 
  • Line the pan well: Eggs are notorious for clinging to the side of the baking dish, which can be messy to remove. Butter the baking dish well to simplify clean-up.
  • Whisk thoroughly: The more you whisk your eggs, the lighter and fluffier your omelet will be!
