Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Add dried strawberries to the food processor.
  • Run the food processor until the strawberries are finely ground. This may take a few minutes. Check on them periodically.
  • Add the sugar on top of the ground strawberries and run for a few seconds until well combined. Don't run it for too long because the food processor will start to break down the sugar.
  • Keep in an airtight container until ready to use.

Notes

  • If the sugar starts to clump up after being stored, just re-stir it to loosen it back up.
  • If you don't have a food processor, crush strawberries in a zip bag or use a coffee grinder. Then add the strawberry powder to a large bowl and mix in with the sugar.
  • To make this recipe to be sweeter, add more sugar. If you want more strawberry flavor, add more strawberries.
  • Recipe makes 16, 1 teaspoon servings.
  • Makes about 1/2 cup of sugar. Put leftovers in an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to 6 months.
